Tools We Use

We're sharing this in part to collect a list (and diagram) of tools we're using for our own reference (versus having to dig through code to remember; yup, that's how my brain works -- set it and forget it -- so I document, document, document). And also in case someone finds it helpful while working on their own stuff and things. We found Clerk and Supabase from a similar listing on someone else's site, so passing it along. Most of these tools can do so much more than what's listed here, these are just some of the specific reason why we're using them and/or might want to use them in the future or upgrade to a higher level.

We also want to have an idea of what kinds of expenses we have now (startup), what we'll want to upgrade once we start to get subscribers to our web apps (traction), and what we'll likely want consider as we expand in the future if all goes well (growth). As Mooseyard will likely remain a small business model, we're not talking $1,000s of dollars for each item every month, but it still helps to plan so we can anticiapte when to grow (need to have the income to support the new expenses, or be willing to risk the outlay beforehand), as well as in what direction we're leaning when we get there, and can keep those things in mind through the whole process.

With that in mind, the table is broken out into startup, traction, and growth, with totals at the bottom. Of course, all of this can change at any moment, but it's a start. This also doesn't account for the most expensive tool of all, labor -- myself along with Lu C. Fur and L.C., my supervisors, and any future admin, it, and support personnel, so on and so forth ad nauseam.
